Hawzah News Agency- Imam Baqir (a.s) said:
إِنَّ الْإِمَامَهَ لَا تَصْلُحُ إِلَّا لِرَجُلٍ فِیهِ ثَلَاثُ خِصَالٍ وَرَعٌ یَحْجُزُهُ عَنِ الْمَحَارِمِ وَ حِلْمٌ یَمْلِکُ بِهِ غَضَبَهُ وَ حُسْنُ الْخِلَافَهِ عَلَی مَنْ وُلِّیَ حَتَّی یَکُونَ لَهُ کَالْوَالِدِ الرَّحِیمِ.
Leadership is only suitable for a man who possesses three qualities: piety (wara’) that restrains him from forbidden acts, forbearance (hilm) with which he controls his anger, and excellent stewardship over those he rules, such that he is like a merciful father to them.
